Terms of Use Spin the Wheel

 1. SPIN THE WHEEL COMPETITION

  • 1.1. By virtue of your membership of the App, you will have access to the Spin the Wheel Competition which shall be made available on the App by Poundland from time to time at its discretion. Please note the Spin the Wheel Competition is governed by the Poundland Terms of Use and definitions used within those terms shall have the same meaning set out below.
  • 1.2. The Spin the Wheel Competition is a free playable campaign that is run on the App where customers may play to Spin the Wheel for a chance to win a prize.
  • 1.3. No payment is necessary to enter the Spin the Wheel Competition.
  • 1.4. Once you have opened the App, the wheel will appear, and you can press the button “Spin”. There are eight segments on the wheel, each labelled with their own prize. You can simply tap the middle of the 'spin wheel’ that appears when you open the App to play the game. You will then find out whether you have won a Prize (as defined below).
  • 1.5. Spin the wheel is a segment which provides the Customer with the opportunity to win one of the following prizes:
    • a. Loyalty Points;
    • b. Vouchers; or
    • c. Chance to Win a Physical Prize (see below )
    Each a “Prize” collectively referred to as the “Prizes”.
  • 1.6. Poundland reserves the right to determine how many Loyalty Points or which Prizes are available pursuant to the Spin the Wheel Competition. The Spin the Wheel Competition which appears on the App will specify how many Loyalty Points are available or which Prize is available at that particular time.
  • 1.7. The Loyalty Points and / or the Prize (as applicable) will be allocated to customers at random.
  • 1.8. All Loyalty Points and any Prize(s) are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for alternatives in whole or in part. Poundland reserves the right to provide an alternative prize (as applicable) of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  • 1.9. Converting Points to Prizes & Redemption of Vouchers – Once you have reached 5,000 Loyalty Points, you will be entitled to a Prize. Please see here for terms relating to how to redeem your Prize. Terms relating to the redemption of Vouchers are set out here.
  • 1.10. The Spin the Wheel Competition runs periodically on the App and you may only submit one entry to this promotion each time the Spin the Wheel Competition appears on the App (i.e. once in a 24 hour period). Entries over the maximum number of entries will be void and you will receive a message saying ‘Exceeded Limit’. You will be able to enter again once entries open for the next day.
  • 1.11. By playing the Spin the Wheel Competition, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
  • 1.12. if for any reason the Spin the Wheel Competition is not capable of running as planned, including as a result of network failure, bugs, tampering, technical failures or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Poundland which affects the proper conduct of the Spin the Wheel Competition, Poundland may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Spin the Wheel Competition without notice.

2. SPIN THE WHEEL – CHANCE TO WIN A PHYSICAL PRIZE – PRIZE DRAW

  • 2.1. If, whilst playing Spin the Wheel, you land on the segment labelled a ‘Chance to Win a Physical Prize’ you will be automatically added to a prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) for a chance to win a Physical Prize. If you do not wish to participate in the Prize Draw, please notify our customer relations team at [email protected] and you will be removed from the Prize Draw. Note you will not be able to undertake a further spin and will have to wait until entries open again.
  • 2.2. Participation in the Prize Draw constitutes acceptance of the Terms of Use. By entering the Prize Draw all entrants will be deemed to be bound by the Terms of Use.
  • 2.3. The Prize Draw runs every Wednesday from 00:01 on 17/10/2023 to 23:59 on 30/10/2024 (the “Promotion Period”). No purchase necessary.
  • 2.4. The Prize Draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over. In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Physical Prize. Please note the available Physical Prize will be notified to all entrants at the time of the entry. The entrant is solely responsible for ensuring they are eligible to claim the Physical Prize. The entrant confirms that they have no existing allergies or otherwise health or medical conditions which prevents them from accepting or making use of the Physical Prize.
  • 2.5. The Prize Draw winners will be selected at random by way of computer software.
  • 2.6. Winners of the Prize Draw will be notified via email. The winner is responsible for providing correct and valid contact details to Poundland via email within 7 days of being notified that they are a winner. Once they confirm their address and personal details to Poundland, their details will be shared with the sponsoring supplier company (who has agreed to provide the Physical Prize). The supplier (sponsor) will then post the Physical Prize to the winner within 30 days of being notified of their win.
  • 2.7. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, Poundland reserves the right to select another winner from the valid/correct entries that were received as part of the Prize Draw.
  • 2.8. There is no alternative to the Physical Prize or any cash substitute. The Physical Prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. Poundland reserves the right to substitute the Physical Prize for one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond Poundland’s reasonable control make it necessary to do so.
  • 2.9. Winner information will be available upon request. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Poundland Customer Relations Team by Email at [email protected] or by Telephone: 0333 234 1877.
  • 2.10. In the event of any dispute regarding the conduct of the Prize Draw and all matters relating to the Prize Draw, the decision of Poundland is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  • 2.11. The Physical Prize will be provided by a third-party supplier, and Poundland assumes no liability for such Physical Prizes. The customer should ensure that all information presented on the Physical Prizes is reviewed and understood prior to using the Physical Prize.
  • 2.12. The Spin the Wheel will be reloaded with new Physical Prizes every four weeks.
  • 2.13. In the event of: (a) any winner being disqualified for any reason whatsoever; (b) any winner being unable to accept the Physical Prize for any reason whatsoever; or (c) any winner failing to claim the Physical Prize in accordance with these terms, Poundland reserves the right at its sole discretion, to either carry out a further draw at random to select an alternative winner, or to donate the Physical Prize (or any alternative prize of equal or greater value) to a charity of its choice.
  • 2.14. Personal data provided by entrants will only be used in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 (the “Act”). For the purposes of the Act, the Data Controller is Poundland Limited. Information provided by entrants will be used for the administration and management of the Prize Draw, entrants name and postal address details will also be provided to our third party prize suppliers in order to deliver the Physical Prizes directly to you.
  • 2.15. By participating in the Prize Draw, participants hereby consent to the personal data provided by them being used in this way.   • 2.16. We reserve the right to amend, extend or terminate the Prize Draw without notice for circumstances which are beyond its reasonable control.
